Superior Court Civil Division Room 4 - Gary

The Lake Superior Court, Civil Division, Room Four is a court of general civil jurisdiction hearing legal matters that include automobile accidents, bodily injury, property damage, medical negligence, real estate matters, mortgage foreclosures, contract disputes, probate matters, leases, matters involving personal property, protective orders, name changes, and debt collection. 

The Judge in this Court was appointed via the merit selection process and is subject to election for a six-year term. 

The Superior Court of Lake County, Civil Division, Room Four is located in Room #201 of Robert D. Rucker Courthouse located at the corner of 4th Avenue and Broadway in Gary, Indiana.  Parking is permitted in the parking lot adjacent to the Genesis Center, directly south of the building, and on the city streets.  The Courtroom is open to the public daily. 

The Rucker Courthouse does NOT permit cellular telephones, pagers, or electronic devices of any type.
